Philomela’s Suden aika arrives in Berlin
One of Finland’s most noted female choir Philomela will pay Berlin their visit on 23 June, 2023 with their multidimensional piece Suden aika (Time of the Wolf).
The spatial piece that surrounds the audience has been performed over 115 times and experienced over 10 000 times in Japan, Argentina, Belgium, Canada, China, Cuba and France to name a few. Suden aika is inspired by Kalevalan poetry and Finnish folk songs. It is a powerful legend about a woman’s mistakes and the price that had to be paid for them, but also a story about strength, comfort and hope.
